Technology Services

The NWESD can enhance your existing IT team and improve technology support for both students and staff, ensuring smooth implementation of new programs such as new facilities, 1-to-1 initiatives, software migration, and much more.

Our technology team follows best practices from the Operations Report Card. We have experience designing and configuring highly functional technology infrastructure, using a variety of tools to fit within your district’s budget goals. Our team documents processes and procedures and uses version control for scripts and other software. We use automation and scripting to accomplish repetitive tasks. Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Puppet, and Ansible are our areas of expertise. Our well-established helpdesk ticket system streamlines workflows, efficiently resolves issues, and invites user feedback.

About Our Team

We have more than 20 years of experience managing technology departments for both large and small organizations. We specialize in teamwork and inclusion, and we communicate with all stakeholders to accomplish the goals that each district, department, and school has set. The NWESD Tech Services Team has completed several Technology Program Reviews (TPRs) and takes a professional approach to running a cutting-edge IT department. To support your district, we continually look for economical ways to utilize available resources.

NWESD can provide behind the scenes assistance to keep your IT systems running smoothly. We can seamlessly help to maintain your school system’s infrastructure including authentication, security, and backups without disrupting staff and student user experience. Operations work is often software based and can be done remotely with little or no on-site time required. Once a system is created, it can be standardized from school to school and easily replicated for cost efficiency.

A few other areas we can offer support include:

  • Participating in Technology Committees to provide an outside view
  • Providing detailed Technology Reviews and/or Audits
  • Aligning technology spending with technology plans and budgets
  • Participating in the interview process for technology-related positions
  • Automating repetitive processes through scripts or other configuration management tools
  • Migrating and/or upgrading servers
  • Responding to Public Record requests
  • Guiding large project management
